MetMalaysia Forecasts Severe Weather in Seven States and Labuan Until 1 AM

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to hit seven states and the Federal Territory of Labuan until 1 am today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning for these adverse weather conditions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the areas forecasted to be affected include parts of Kedah such as Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, and Sik. In Pahang, the districts of Jerantut, Maran, and Bera are expected to experience the inclement weather. Negeri Sembilan's Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, and Tampin are also on alert.

The warning extends to Johor, covering Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru, along with Melaka.

In Sarawak, the potentially impacted areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang.

Meanwhile, Sabah's Interior regions such as Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Keningau, along with the West Coast area of Papar, are expected to experience similar weather conditions.
