Kemaman: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a warning on a tropical depression moving north-northeast at a speed of about two kilometres per hour (km/h), located roughly 50 km southeast of Kemaman, Terengganu.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's National Weather and Earthquake Operations Centre, in a statement, said the storm could generate maximum wind speeds of up to 56 km/h.

The centre indicated that the weather conditions may bring continuous heavy rain, strong winds, and rough seas over the South China Sea.
