Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian International Food and Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026 brought together industry leaders, innovators, and global partners to explore opportunities for growth, innovation, and cross-border collaboration to strengthen Southeast Asia's food and beverage (F and B) industry.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, One International Group, the organiser of the event, noted that the three-day trade exhibition, held from July 15 to 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, focused on addressing food security, supply chain resilience, and evolving industry demands. The event, now in its 25th edition, was themed 'Future-Ready F and B: Powering the Next Wave' and was officiated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Chan Foong Hin.
A key highlight of this year's edition was the MIFB Knowledge Hub, featuring expert-led sessions on artificial intelligence (AI), automation, operational efficiency, export readiness, business scaling, and data-driven decision-making. Industry experts from organisations like Toastmaker, HEXA IOT, Tetra Pak, StoreHub, Subway, Supergulp, PurelyB, World Halalpreneur Council, and WonderBrew were among the speakers. Celebrity chef Alan Coxon also presented a session on building sustainable F and B brands.
Visitors experienced various industry showcases, including the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC), organised in partnership with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA). The championship celebrated the achievements of Malaysian coffee professionals, with Nas Jaafar winning the 2026 World Brewers Cup Championship and Jacky Chang finishing as first runner-up at the 2026 World Latte Art Championship.
International participation was a major feature of the event, with country pavilions from China, India, Poland, South Korea, Trkiye, and Thailand, among others, providing buyers and trade visitors direct access to global partners, emerging food innovations, and new sourcing opportunities.
The MIFB 2026 also offered a curated programme designed to create meaningful business opportunities while equipping industry professionals with practical insights into market trends through MIFB ChefTable, MIFB Connect, and MIFB Launchpad.
Roger Lim, founder and chief executive officer of One International Group, stated that MIFB provided a platform where innovative food products, emerging technologies, international suppliers, and expert-led industry discussions converged to create commercial opportunities. He emphasized that businesses today seek ideas, partnerships, and solutions to navigate an increasingly complex market and that MIFB aims to help businesses build stronger partnerships, unlock new market opportunities, and prepare the industry for the future.
