Kuala lumpur: MIMOS Berhad, the National Applied Research and Development (R and D) Centre under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first organisation in Malaysia and among the pioneers in Asia Pacific to receive the ISO 56001:2024 Innovation Management System (IMS) certification, a globally recognised standard for continual innovation excellence.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the certification was officially presented to MIMOS President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Saat Shukri Embong, by YAB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation. The presentation took place at the Majlis SIRIM Industri 2025, held on 19 November 2025 at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
