MOH Allocates RM3.42 Million for Batu Pahat Clinic Upgrades

Batu pahat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced a special allocation of RM3.421 million to upgrade physical facilities and procure medical assets at four clinics in the Batu Pahat district. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad revealed that the funding will be distributed among the Parit Raja Health Clinic (RM500,000), Sri Gading Health Clinic (RM950,000), Parit Yaani Health Clinic (RM1.268 million), and the Tongkang Pechah Health Clinic (RM685,000).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Dzulkefly emphasized the importance of aligning health facilities with the rapid development and population growth in the area. The aim is to ensure that public health facilities are maintained in good condition and continuously improved to meet the current needs of patients and the local community. The allocation is intended to ensure that services are not only concentrated in major districts but that resource distribution is equitable down to the grassroots level.

Dr Dzulkefly highlighted the necessity of health facilities in the district, which supports a population of nearly 500,000. The district is experiencing rapid development, particularly in education and healthcare sectors. The announcement was made during his visit to the Tongkang Pechah Health Clinic, where he was accompanied by Health deputy director-general (public health) Dr Ismuni Bohari, state Health director Dr Mohtar Pungut, and Sri Gading MP Aminolhuda Hassan.
