Mohamed Nazri’s Successful Tenure as Malaysian Ambassador to the US Praised by Kamil

Kuala Lumpur: Former Malaysian Ambassador to the United States, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, effectively fulfilled his responsibilities during his two-year term in Washington, according to Finance Minister's Political Secretary Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim. Muhammad Kamil highlighted the enhancement in the bilateral relationship between Malaysia and the US in terms of trade and investment throughout Nazri's tenure.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhammad Kamil noted new investments, including those from Google, as evidence of Malaysia's consistent policies despite its firm stance on certain issues, notably Israel's actions against Palestinians and Gaza. Kamil expressed confidence that the positive relationship between the two nations would continue to strengthen in line with the government's policies.

Mohamed Nazri commenced his role as Malaysia's Ambassador to the US on February 9, 2023. The Foreign Ministry previously stated that his appointment was due to his extensive experience in the country's administration. Recently, it was reported that Nazri confirmed the conclusion of his contract as Malaysia's Ambassador to the US after his two-year service in Washington.
