Over 500 Students In Padang Rengas Receive School Supply Aid

Padang Rengas: Over 500 students from low-income families in Padang Rengas parliamentary constituency received school supply aid through the Sumbangan Kasih MADANI Back To School 2025 programme today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Political Secretary to Finance Minister, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said the programme involved students from 31 selected primary and secondary schools, who will receive RM100, a school bag, stationery, and milk.

"The aid is hoped to reduce the financial burden of parents in preparing their children's school supplies and raise their interest to go to school and learn and obtain excellent results," he said during a media conference at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Simpang Beluru near here.

He thanked Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR), Yayasan MyPrihatin, Farm Fresh, and Persatuan Pergerakan Amal Belia (PPAB) Padang Rengas for their cooperation in the programme, stating that it was a noble form of social corporate responsibility to the community.

"Even though it seems small, it will help lower-income families," he said, adding that such initiatives proved that the government was really helping to reduce the burden of families in Padang Rengas specifically and in Malaysia in general.
