Kuala lumpur: The RM100 one-off Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) assistance for every Malaysian citizen aged 18 and above will be available through MyKad beginning August 31. Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who also serves as the MADANI Government spokesman, announced that recipients could use the aid at 4,500 selected shops nationwide from August 31, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi expressed his pleasure in reminding that the SARA program will commence on August 31, enabling every adult Malaysian citizen to receive RM100 credited directly into their MyKad. This announcement was made during a post-Cabinet meeting press conference.
Fahmi also encouraged all eligible citizens to verify their eligibility and balance via the official SARA portal at or the MyKasih website, which has been accessible since August 21. He emphasized the importance of this opportunity for those aged 18 and above to utilize the aid.
On July 23, the Prime Minister announced the RM100 one-off contribution under the SARA program for every adult Malaysian citizen aged 18 and above. Anwar Ibrahim noted that the contribution, in conjunction with National Day on August 31, serves as an immediate effort to alleviate the cost of living burden while expressing appreciation to the people. The initiative is set to benefit 22 million citizens with an allocation of RM2 billion.
