Negeri sembilan: The Negeri Sembilan Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) successfully captured an estuarine crocodile weighing over 100 kilograms after it was discovered in a drainage canal at the Guthrie Linggi palm oil estate.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Perhilitan director Faizal Izham Pikri reported that the three-meter reptile likely became trapped in a muddy swamp area before estate workers spotted it around 3 pm. A team, including three Perhilitan officers and seven estate workers, arrived on site at approximately 3.30 pm and began the capture operation shortly after, at 3.40 pm.
The crocodile has since been relocated to the department's enclosure at Paya Indah Wetlands in Selangor. Faizal encouraged the public to contact Perhilitan or relevant authorities if they encounter wildlife.
