Bersatu: Bersatu will conduct a detailed review of the outcome of the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, in which it failed to win any seat, said its secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali. He said the party would also carry out a post-mortem to identify strategic measures to strengthen its struggle.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this is the first time Bersatu has contested an election using its own symbol without relying on or riding on any other party. The outcome in Negeri Sembilan requires Bersatu to take bold steps to strengthen internal discipline, work harder and champion a reform agenda that will deliver the greatest benefits to the people, Mohamed Azmin stated in a statement tonight.

Bersatu, a component party of Perikatan Nasional (PN), contested 24 seats under its own logo in this election. Mohamed Azmin also mentioned that Bersatu would discuss the formation of a coalition of moderate and progressive political parties to reinvigorate democracy in the country for a brighter future.

In today's state polls, Barisan Nasional (BN) won 18 seats, followed by Pakatan Harapan (PH) with 11 seats and PN with seven. BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has announced that BN and PN would form the new state government.

In the 15th Negeri Sembilan state election, PH won 17 seats and BN secured 14 to form the state government, while PN won five seats.
