Kuala Lampur:The 2027 Budget for Negeri Sembilan will be tabled on November 27, even in the absence of state executive councillors, according to Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the State Legislative Assembly sitting, originally scheduled for October 16, was postponed to allow adequate time for budget preparation. The revised proposal suggests the assembly sitting will officially open on November 26, followed by the budget tabling on November 27, with debates continuing into the following week until Thursday.
Ismail announced this decision after presenting appointment letters to the chairmen and secretaries of the Negeri Sembilan Village Development and Security Committees (JPKK). A budget consultation with all 25 government bloc assemblymen is planned to incorporate their feedback into the budget preparation process.
He assured that the absence of Exco members would not impede the state government's administration, as departmental staff continue to handle matters related to their portfolios. Ismail emphasized his commitment to leading the state administration with a focus on the people's welfare.
Acknowledging the challenges faced in the state's development, Ismail emphasized the importance of addressing these with calmness and maturity. He also called on the people's support and prayers to navigate this challenging period with wisdom and unity.
