Negeri Sembilan: The Negeri Sembilan Road Transport Department (JPJ) issued a total of 3,044 notices for various offences during the Hari Raya Aidiladha Special Operation (Op Khas HRAA) 2025, which was conducted from June 4 to 10. Its director, Hanif Yusabra Yusuf, reported that a total of 8,437 vehicles were inspected, and action was taken against 1,342 vehicles during this operation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, 2,191 JPJ (P) 22 notices were issued, along with 333 investigation notices under Section 114 of the Road Transport Act 1987. Additionally, 216 inspection orders under Section 61(1), 160 vehicle prohibition notices, and 45 weighing orders under Section 82(1) of the Land Public Transport Act (APAD) 2010 were distributed. The operation also resulted in 92 other notices and seven APAD notices being issued.
The breakdown of offences revealed 973 violations related to vehicle licensing, followed by 680 offences in driver licensing, 625 technical issues, 371 major offences, 269 other offences, and 125 goods offences. Among the main offences detected were 121 cases of failing to obey traffic lights, 83 instances of not wearing seat belts, 60 cases of driving heavy vehicles in the fast lane, 32 cases of driving in the emergency lane, 27 instances of not wearing helmets, 23 cases of queue-jumping, 19 instances of using mobile phones, and six cases of overtaking on double lines.
Hanif Yusabra Yusuf further stated that 75 vehicles were seized, and 97 notices were issued to foreign drivers for various offences.
