Kuala Lampur:Negeri Sembilan: All educational institutions under the Ministry of Education in Negeri Sembilan will be closed starting tomorrow due to the haze affecting the state.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Negeri Sembilan Education Department announced that the closure aligns with the Ministry of Education's media statement. This decision is based on Air Pollutant Index readings recorded at three monitoring stations in the state—Port Dickson, Seremban, and Nilai—as of 5 pm today.
Affected institutions are required to implement Home-Based Teaching and Learning to ensure the continuity of students' education, considering the capabilities and needs of students and teachers' readiness. Teachers and Implementation Support Group personnel are allowed to work from home during the closure. The safety, health, and welfare of students and education workforce members remain the utmost priority for the department.
The Negeri Sembilan Education Department, along with District Education Offices and educational institutions, will continue to monitor Air Pollutant Index readings and take appropriate actions based on developments and decisions made by the Ministry of Education.
Parents and guardians are advised to stay informed about the current situation and cooperate to ensure the safety and health of their children during the haze period.
