Gold Futures Gain on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives

Kuala Lampur:Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher, breaking a three-day losing streak. This rise was influenced by gains on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, At the close of trading, the October 2026 contract increased to US$4,133.50 per troy ounce, up from US$4,131.10 the previous day. The November 2026 contract also saw an increase, closing at US$4,150.10 per troy ounce, compared to US$4,147.40.

Similarly, the December 2026 contract rose to US$4,166.60 per troy ounce, an increase from US$4,164.30 on Wednesday. The January 2027, February 2027, and April 2027 contracts also experienced small gains, moving up to US$4,166.60 from US$4,164.30.

The trading volume for gold futures decreased to 77 lots from 97 the day before, and open interest fell to 153 contracts from 162. Meanwhile, physical gold was set at US$4,095.40 per troy ounce during the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fixing on October 7.
