No RON95 Fuel Volume Offences Detected in Nationwide Inspections – KPDN

Kuala lumpur: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has confirmed that no offences involving RON95 fuel volume below the maximum permissible margin of error were detected and all petrol station operators met the measurement standards set.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a nationwide inspection on the accuracy of RON95 petrol pump dispensers was carried out following complaints by consumers alleging discrepancies in the quantity of petrol received after the implementation of the BUDI MADANI RON95 programme. KPDN enforcement director-general Datuk Azman Adam stated that the ministry conducted random inspections on 2,282 RON95 dispensers at 584 petrol stations, which included full-fledged, mini, and unbranded mini stations, between November 2 and 9.

The inspections aimed to verify that all dispenser pumps had undergone proper verification and were functioning within the permissible margins of error. They also sought to detect any potential manipulation or technical non-compliance by petrol station operators. Azman confirmed that no offences involving RON95 volume discrepancies were detected during the operation.

The ministry remains committed to maintaining the accuracy of RON95 petrol measurements to prevent consumer losses. Azman emphasized that periodic inspections would continue and that stern action would be taken against any manipulation or non-compliance. Consumer protection and fairness in transactions are the ministry's priorities, and consumers are encouraged to report any concerns or complaints through available channels such as Whatsapp, e-aduankpdn.gov.my, or the call centre.
