Pos Balar:The National Registration Department (NRD) has undertaken the challenging task of delivering documentation services to the Orang Asli community in Pos Balar, adhering to its principle of 'Rakyat di Hati JPN' (The People at the Heart of JPN).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, NRD director-general Datuk Badrul Hisham Alias emphasized that the department's duties exceed merely issuing birth certificates. They encompass fulfilling the department's trust and commitment to the community, regardless of the difficulties encountered.
Badrul Hisham highlighted the necessity for NRD personnel to demonstrate dedication, ensuring services reach those in need, without using the challenges of traveling to remote areas as an excuse to shirk responsibilities. He underscored that their duty is a matter of trust that must not impose difficulties on the people they serve.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony for the Registration Literacy programme, part of the 78th National Registration Day celebration at the state level, he noted that the journey to Pos Balar typically takes around three hours under good conditions, while the trip to Pos Gob can take between 12 and 14 hours, illustrating the challenges faced by NRD personnel.
Badrul Hisham also advised personnel to prioritize personal safety, ensuring vehicles are in good condition and that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents. He stressed the importance of maintaining safety from the beginning of the journey until reaching the destination, as road conditions can vary significantly.
The effort to reach Pos Balar involves collaboration between the Kelantan NRD, the Gua Musang NRD office, four-wheel-drive teams, and other relevant parties, all working together to ensure the success of the two-day programme.
