Pahang Allocates RM500,000 To Repair Tok Batin, Orang Asli Houses

Pahang: The Pahang government has allocated RM500,000 for the repair of Tok Batin (village chief) and Orang Asli homes in the state. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail stated that the allocation was approved after identifying that some Tok Batin homes were dilapidated and needed urgent repairs.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy emphasized that the state government aims to ensure no community is marginalised in the development process. The responsibility of identifying houses in need of repair has been handed over to Pahang Orang Asli Corporation Sdn Bhd (Oraco).

In addition to the housing repairs, Wan Rosdy announced an increase in the allocation for the Kasih Makmur Health Card programme by RM11 million. This programme provides a health card valued at RM500 for each recipient, enabling senior citizens or people with disabilities to access treatment at designated private clinics without visiting government hospitals.

Wan Rosdy expressed confidence that this initiative would reduce waiting times and facilitate prompt treatment for the beneficiaries.
