Pahang: The Pahang government has successfully resolved 98 percent of settler land ownership issues, marking a significant achievement in addressing this longstanding matter. Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail emphasized the state's commitment to protecting the rights of nearly 43,000 settlers, following the regulations set forth.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the milestone was highlighted during a ceremony for the handover of land titles to settlers in Felda Lepar Utara 1, 2, and 4, as well as the Tanah Rakyat Scheme. Wan Rosdy noted that some settlers had been waiting more than 42 years for their land titles, attributing the delays to procedural compliance rather than intentional oversight.
The Menteri Besar also assured that efforts to address the remaining two percent of unresolved cases will persist. These cases are primarily hindered by technical issues related to inheritance, which require careful consideration and resolution.
Wan Rosdy urged the settlers who have received their land titles to manage their properties responsibly and focus on maintaining or enhancing their current revenue streams.
