Kuantan:Pahang Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has advised residents to take necessary precautions amid the ongoing haze. This includes reducing outdoor activities, avoiding open burning, and wearing face masks when outside.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wan Rosdy emphasized the importance of appropriate measures to minimize exposure to unhealthy air, especially for high-risk groups such as children, senior citizens, and individuals with respiratory issues. He encouraged parents, employers, and event organizers to be vigilant in protecting these groups.
In response to the haze and concerning Air Pollutant Index (API) readings, the Pahang State Education Department has decided to temporarily close educational institutions in Rompin and Kuantan starting tomorrow. Wan Rosdy stated that this decision prioritizes the safety, health, and welfare of students, teachers, and all educational staff.
The Menteri Besar also encouraged the public to pray for an improvement in the haze situation and wished for the continued safety and health of Pahang's residents. He assured that the state government, in collaboration with relevant agencies, will keep monitoring the situation and ensure appropriate actions are taken for the benefit of the community.
