Kampung paya luas: Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today attended the key handover ceremony for the Rumah Rakyat Al-Sultan Abdullah (Ru'RASA) at Kampung Paya Luas near here. A post on the official Facebook page of the Pahang Royal Household said the state's ruler arrived at 12.20 pm, driving himself, accompanied by the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Al-Sultan Abdullah personally handed over the keys to the Ru'RASA homes to 50 recipients from Temerloh, Bera, Jerantut, and Maran. His Majesty expressed hope that the Ru'RASA homes and other housing initiatives by the state government would be treasured and appropriately maintained by the people.
His Majesty advised the recipients to transform their new houses into a paradise for their families, emphasizing the intention for these homes to serve as permanent residences for the recipients and their offspring. He urged them to avoid dwelling on negative thoughts and to take good care of the houses, making them places of comfort and devotion.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also expressed a desire for housing initiatives like Ru'RASA to be extended to all races, as they are also citizens of Pahang. His Majesty highlighted the need for immediate attention to the issue of water supply shortages affecting residents in traditional villages and Orang Asli settlements, rather than focusing solely on ongoing projects.
The ruler expressed a wish for the water issue to be resolved effectively and requested a detailed briefing in the near future about the water supply projects. He intends to personally review and closely observe the projects being carried out in all districts of Pahang.
