Pahang: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has urged the state government to stay vigilant regarding community issues, stressing that every policy and decision should prioritize the interests of the people and environmental sustainability.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sultan highlighted that the populace is fundamental to a state's strength, and it is a collective duty to ensure that everyone, irrespective of social status, can live in peace, prosperity, and harmony. He called on all state departments and agencies to proactively streamline bureaucratic processes to better serve the community.
During the Ceremony for the Presentation of the Instrument of Extension for the Appointment of Pahang State Executive Council (Exco) Members at Istana Abdulaziz, His Highness emphasized the importance of an efficient and people-friendly approach. This, he believes, will alleviate the burdens of the community and showcase the government's commitment to delivering exemplary services.
Al-Sultan Abdullah also urged Exco members to diligently fulfill their duties, recognizing the trust placed in them as a significant responsibility to ensure the welfare of the people and the state's progress. He asserted that the interests of Pahang should always take precedence.
His Highness extended congratulations to Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail for successfully increasing the state's revenue to RM1.144 billion, viewing it as evidence of the effective administration and efforts of Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy and the Exco members in advancing Pahang's economy.
The Sultan also mentioned the necessity of attracting more foreign direct investment to bolster the state's economic position, expressing hope that efforts to draw foreign investors will be intensified for the benefit of both the people and the state.
