Kuala lumpur: The national men's junior hockey squad failed to advance to the final of the 2026 Men's Junior Asia Cup final when they lost 1-3 to defending champions India in the semi-final match in Moqi, China today. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the defending champions had shown their mettle early in the match by scoring through Anmol Ekka in the sixth minute, and then a field goal by Sukhvinder in the 51st minute and Anmol's second goal in the 54th minute. The Young Tigers managed a consolation goal in the final 60th minute through Rahuul Fazrien Muhammad Nazrien. Malaysia last won the Junior Asia Cup in 2012, while India has won the cup for the past three editions, in 2015, 2023 and 2024.
