Penang: All official ceremonies and events in conjunction with the 84th birthday celebration of Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ramli Ngah Talib have been postponed and will now take place from July 26 to 30. Penang State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang, who is also chairman of the State Government Official Ceremonies Committee, said the postponement was due to a clash with the dates of the 269th Meeting of the Conference of Rulers.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, July 12 has been set and declared a public holiday in conjunction with the official birthday celebration of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang. The official birthday celebration of the Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri is an annual event marked by state government ceremonies, including the conferment of state honours.
