Perak: Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad has ordered immediate action to repair the main road in Pulau Pangkor, which was damaged after continuous heavy rain over several days. The directive comes in response to the impact on local communities caused by the road's condition.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, instructions have been given to the Manjung district officer following an inspection of the location where the road damage occurred. Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, "I have asked the Manjung district officer to take necessary action and to implement the repairs as soon as possible," in a Facebook post.

Additionally, Saarani visited a nearby site affected by a landslide at Sekolah Menengah Tahfiz Darul Ridzuan, Pulau Pangkor, which has raised concerns among students, teachers, and parents. He has tasked the technical department with conducting a comprehensive assessment to ensure the safety of the area before resuming any educational activities. Saarani stressed the importance of prioritizing safety during such critical times.
