Perak PMR 2026 Draws Over 93,000 Attendees by Second Day

Perak: The Perak edition of the MADANI Rakyat programme (PMR) 2026 recorded over 93,000 visitors as of its second day, nearly surpassing its original three-day target, said Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nga highlighted that this achievement demonstrated the people's confidence in and support for the programme, which has been organised for the past two years. "I am pleased to announce that the PMR programme targeted 100,000 visitors over three days. However, we have already successfully recorded more than 93,000 visitors by the second day," he stated. He emphasized that the programme is a testament to the government's commitment to engaging with the community and addressing their needs through actionable measures.

Nga delivered these remarks during his speech at the opening ceremony of the Perak PMR 2026 at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah. The event was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, with notable attendees including Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

The Minister elaborated that the programme offered the public a platform to engage directly with various government departments and agencies, while also accessing essential information and assistance. He conveyed his gratitude to the Perak state government, ministries, departments, and agencies for their strong cooperation, which played a crucial role in ensuring that the PMR effectively benefited the public.

"The synergy established between all parties reflects a shared commitment to ensuring the development agenda and government services are delivered comprehensively to the grassroots," Nga added. The PMR 2026 will continue this year with Perak as its inaugural location, running from April 3 to 5, and providing more than 200 government services and activities.
