Perkeso and Partners Sign MoC to Enhance Social Protection System

Kuala lumpur: The signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) and three strategic partners is anticipated to bolster efforts in constructing a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable social protection system.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the MoC involves collaboration with the Penang Regional Development Authority (PERDA), the Darul Ta'zim Family Development Foundation (YPKDT), and One Hope Welfare and Charity. The signing took place during the Social Synergy Congress, which was officiated by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

The collaboration with PERDA, YPKDT, and One Hope Welfare and Charity focuses on several key areas, including channeling potential aid recipients across agencies, targeted data sharing and matching, and empowering human capital through skills development and socio-economic support.

Shamsul Azri stated that the Social Synergy Congress aligns with the MADANI government's aspiration to shape social policies that are humane, responsive, and people-centred. 'It is not just a slogan, but a strategic effort to balance material development with human well-being,' he remarked.

Held for the third time since its inception in 2023, the Social Synergy Congress attracted over 400 participants in its latest edition. This year's theme, 'Culture or Process', emphasized the importance of integrating human values and culture with an efficient and effective delivery system.
