Perlis JAPEN Amplifies 1 House, 1 Jalur Gemilang Campaign to Boost Patriotism

Kangar: The Perlis Information Department (JAPEN) is intensifying its efforts in the 1 House, 1 Jalur Gemilang (1R1JG) campaign to bolster patriotism among the residents of the state during the National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 (HKHM 2026) celebrations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Information Director Aidatul Shima Che Hassan highlighted that the campaign's strategy involves mobilizing all 45 MADANI Communities across Perlis to actively engage in various nation-building programs. The department is also promoting the campaign by displaying the Jalur Gemilang prominently at Bangunan Tun Haji Abdul Razak in Kangar and using PERLISfm and social media platforms.

Aidatul Shima urged Perlis residents to display the Jalur Gemilang as a demonstration of love for the country, emphasizing the importance of replacing worn-out flags with new ones. She encouraged the display of the national flag at homes, buildings, government and private sector premises, and on vehicles.

Perlis is the first state in the northern zone to initiate the KMJG programme this year, as noted by Aidatul Shima. The campaign aims for holistic community involvement, providing a platform for Malaysians to express their pride in national harmony.

Participants in the convoy include the Perlis Federal Development Office, Perlis Broadcasting Department, the Perlis office of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Pos Malaysia, and the Perlis Civil Defence Force, with support from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Perlis contingent.

The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 campaign were inaugurated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on July 19, aligning with the HKHM 2026 celebrations under the theme 'Malaysia MADANI: Shared Prosperity' in Perak.
