PKR Invitation To Azmin? I Was Not Informed – Anwar

Kuala lumpur: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that he had not been informed of any invitation for former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to rejoin the party. 'Has anyone invited him? Was there an invitation? I was not informed,' the Prime Minister remarked briefly when questioned after officiating the National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo (NICE) 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) today. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Azmin, who is currently serving as the secretary-general of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), had reportedly asserted that he would never return to PKR despite invitations being extended to former members to rejoin the party. This statement came amidst speculation and reports indicating that some former members might be returning to PKR. Prior to this, there were reports that former Bandar Tun Razak MP Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar and former Nibong Tebal MP Datuk Mansor Othman have been considered for a return to PKR. Additionally, fo rmer PKR vice-president Datuk Dr Xavier Jayakumar has already confirmed his return to the party, signaling potential shifts within the political landscape.
