PLATS Achieves Sales Milestone with Over RM10 Million Recorded

Shah alam: The Platform Selangor (PLATS) programme, a digital entrepreneurship ecosystem spearheaded by the Selangor government, has successfully achieved a cumulative sales value exceeding RM10 million. This milestone underscores the programme's effectiveness in fostering entrepreneurship within the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) Foundation head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor revealed that this achievement was the result of various initiatives under the PLATS programme. He highlighted that the Agrobank PLATS Ramadan Bazaar programme alone contributed approximately RM8 million in sales. Additionally, data from the Point of Sales device system provided to entrepreneurs indicated that nearly RM3 million in sales had been achieved.

Ahmad Azri further commented on the programme's progress, noting that 88,000 entrepreneurs have participated, edging closer to the target of 100,000 set by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. The programme primarily supports micro-entrepreneurs, such as hawkers and small retailers, with a focus on the food and beverage industry and service sectors.

In an effort to enhance the reach of these entrepreneurs, the foundation is collaborating with the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS). Ahmad Azri mentioned plans to expand into international markets, with initiatives to bring local products to Shanghai this November and explore opportunities in the Middle East.
