PLKN 3.0 Trainees Aim to Enhance Discipline and Confidence

Accra:Sabah Two teenagers embarking on their National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 journey are looking forward to more than just physical training. They hope to improve their self-discipline, confidence, and form lasting friendships.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, new trainee Muhammad Danish Khusairy Hazri, 17, intends to use the training to strengthen his discipline and prepare for a career in the culinary field. He expressed his desire to improve his perseverance to fulfill his family's expectations.

Muhammad Danish, a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) school leaver, also seeks valuable experience from the programme to ready himself for workforce challenges.

Fellow trainee Rachel Veralyn Dolimis, 18, from Kampung Rugading, Penampang, believes her previous experience in a secondary school hostel will aid her adjustment to camp life. She hopes the training will boost her confidence in social interactions.

Rachel has mentally prepared and packed necessary items in advance, aiming to overcome shyness and build physical resilience during the training.

Meanwhile, Iyana Musa Taulani, a small-scale trader from Ketiau, Putatan, expressed initial concerns over the programme's intensity and her daughter's safety. After camp officers provided explanations, she felt reassured about the benefits, particularly in developing discipline.

Iyana is thankful for the positive exposure the programme will provide to her introverted daughter, Nur Qistina Maysara Matlan, helping her build friendships and stronger character for future challenges.
