PM Anwar Channels RM30,000 To Three Melaka PPDs To Assist Underprivileged Families

Melaka: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has channeled RM30,000 to assist three District Education Offices (PPDs) in Melaka to support those in need. Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, announced that each PPD received RM10,000, which can be used to assist underprivileged families with school expenses this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shamsul Iskandar emphasized the discretionary power of the PPDs in managing these funds, aligning with the MADANI Government's agenda to alleviate the financial burden on the populace. "We are certainly focusing on the country's education, as we must work together to achieve the Ministry of Education's 'Murid Ceria, Guru Bahagia, Sekolah Bitara, Negara Sejahtera' vision," he stated.

Shamsul Iskandar, who also serves as the president of the Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Datuk Palembang Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), shared these remarks during an interaction with reporters at the school. The visit coincided with the first day of school for Group B students, where he, along with Ministry of Education Secretary-General Datuk Ruji Ubi and Melaka Education Director Mahfudzah Mohamed Noor, spent approximately two hours observing the proceedings.
