PM Anwar Pays Tribute To Nurses For Invaluable Service, Sacrifice

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today expressed appreciation to the nursing community, describing the profession as a noble field that demands sacrifice, inner strength, and extraordinary sincerity.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post in conjunction with International Nurses Day, the Prime Minister said the contributions of nurses often go beyond words, and their sacrifices are invaluable to the people and the nation. He highlighted that from the moment we are born, nurses are among the first to welcome and care for us. They are present during childbirth, care for the sick, and remain steadfast in their service until the end of our lives.

Anwar emphasized that almost everyone, at some point in their lives, experiences the compassion of nurses. They are there to comfort patients in pain, reassure frightened children, and provide strength to families during anxious moments. He noted that nurses are often the individuals closest to patients, possessing a deep understanding of their condition, and their experience and meticulous care are crucial in assisting doctors to provide the best treatment.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude, stating, "Thank you for all your service and sacrifices. Happy International Nurses Day." International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 each year to recognize the contributions of nurses to communities around the world.
