PM Anwar Urges University Students to Lead National Progress and Reforms

Kuala lumpur: University students must continue to play an important role as agents of change that bring progress and reforms to the country based on knowledge, values, and maturity of thought. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that they are a source of new strength that can unite the people regardless of race, religion, and background, thus rejecting narrow racial politics that only divides society and threatens the harmony of the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar underscored the importance of the younger generation's courage and willingness to dismantle the walls of racism in petty politics, thereby contributing to the construction of a more united, stable, and viable country. He stated that the future of Malaysia hinges on this transformative effort by the youth.

The Prime Minister assured that the MADANI Government is committed to defending the principles of social justice, ensuring the protection and welfare of the people irrespective of race or background. He highlighted that the MADANI Malaysia concept prioritizes values of kindness, justice, and well-being for all people across racial and religious boundaries.

Anwar reiterated these points during his address at the Prime Minister's Goodwill Session with Indian students at Universiti Malaya. He also announced an additional allocation of RM50 million to the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (MITRA), thereby increasing the total allocation to RM150 million this year.
