Police Arrest Another Suspect In Sunway Mentari Murder Case

Petaling jaya: Police have arrested yet another suspect in the murder of a man at a Sunway Mentari hotel on July 8.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the latest detainee, a man in his 40s, was picked up on Monday and remanded until tomorrow to facilitate the investigation, said Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Shamsudin Mamat. Two other men, in their 20s and 30s, remain in custody as well, with their remand orders extended today.

'Case papers will be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor this week,' Shamsudin said in a statement. The victim, in his 30s, was discovered unconscious at the hotel and pronounced dead that night at 11.23 pm. He bore visible injuries on his body. A post-mortem at University Malaya Medical Centre later confirmed the cause as fatal blunt-force trauma.
