Kuantan:Police have recorded statements from three individuals as part of their investigation into the death of a female student, believed to have been killed by her boyfriend at a house on Jalan Air Putih.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kuantan District Police Chief ACP Ashari Abu Samah stated that the victim's housemates were summoned to assist with investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The victim, a 19-year-old student from Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic (POLISAS), was found lying on a bed in a rented room on the ground floor of the house after police received an emergency call from her boyfriend at 4.32 am. The incident is believed to have arisen from jealousy, as the victim and the suspect had known each other for about a year.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been remanded until next Monday for further investigation.
