Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM) is set to introduce its chicken-based products in London by August, starting with 1,000 samples of marinated chicken for testing and promotion.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, PVATM president Datuk Sharuddin Omar mentioned that they have recently met with the Malaysian High Commission in London, which strongly supports the project. 'Our agent there has also received positive feedback, and we are confident that the products will be available in London by August,' he told reporters at PVATM's Chicken Sales Centre today.
The association is prepared to fulfill any order and is ready to increase its workforce while maintaining local production to meet the demand for exports, Sharuddin stated. Earlier, PVATM received an order for 500,000 packages from a Singaporean company, indicating strong interest in their products.
Furthermore, Sharuddin noted that they plan to visit Vietnam in May to study the business model of the Vietnam War Veterans Association, which generates up to RM50 billion annually. PVATM also aims to empower veterans, their families, and rural communities by creating 200 small businesses through the sale of fast-food items like 'chic chop'. They plan to open kiosks across Malaysia and provide free training and resources.
In addition, the association's other business-related ventures include its Digital Entrepreneur Country Club (DECC), which supports veteran-owned chicken stores, and they also operate a hotel called The Barrack.
