Raja Muda Perlis Highlights Royal Institution’s Role in Stability and Unity

Arau:The Royal Institution serves as a pillar of stability and a unifying force for the people, as stated by Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, His Highness emphasized the neutrality of the royal institution within the framework of a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy. This neutrality is crucial in maintaining political balance, ensuring continuity of governance, and strengthening harmony among people of different races and religions.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra made these remarks while officiating the 'Wacana Adiwangsa 2026: Institusi Raja, Warisan dan Jiwa Bangsa' discourse at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perlis Branch in Arau, as per a statement from Istana Arau.

His Highness also expressed hope that discussions and sharing of views during the event would broaden understanding, raise awareness, and strengthen the collective commitment to preserving the Royal Institution. He highlighted the importance of empowering heritage and shaping a knowledgeable, integrity-driven, and forward-looking generation.

The Raja Muda further stated that heritage, culture, and language must be regarded as strategic assets and symbols of high-value identity, rather than merely historical legacies. He asserted that traditional heritage should progress alongside innovation and technology to remain relevant and be showcased internationally.

The Wacana Adiwangsa 2026 event, organized by UiTM Perlis Branch, served as an intellectual platform to enhance public appreciation of the Royal Institution and the importance of preserving heritage, culture, and national identity. The program also focused on efforts to shape a younger generation that understands history, appreciates heritage, and possesses a strong sense of identity in navigating contemporary changes.
