Kuala lumpur: Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd (Rapid Bus), the operator of the Rapid KL On-Demand van services in the Klang Valley, will enhance its services through the integration of its booking applications and the expansion of its service zones starting next month.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Rapid Bus acting chief executive officer Ku Jamil Zakaria announced that the company will consolidate three existing booking apps-Mobi, Trek Rides, and Kummute-into a single, integrated application called Rapid On-Demand. This initiative aims to simplify the booking process and improve the user experience.
The streamlining will occur in stages, beginning with the zones currently using the Mobi and Trek Rides apps on November 1, 2025 (Phase 1), followed by the zones utilizing the Kummute app in the middle of November 2025 (Phase 2). Users will now only need one app to book Rapid On-Demand services across all zones operated by Rapid KL, making travel more convenient.
Additionally, Ku Jamil highlighted that the zone expansion will be executed in phases to boost connectivity and make travel to various destinations seamless without service changes. The new zones will incorporate 50 vans and integrate key stations such as Metro Prima-Taman Botani Kepong (FRIM), Serdang Raya Selatan-Taman Bukit Serdang, Semantan-Menara DBKL, and Semantan-KTM Segambu.
The zone combination aims to increase service accessibility and connectivity between important areas, ensuring that users can travel to more destinations efficiently without switching services, thereby enhancing public transport as a viable option.
The Rapid On-Demand app is available for free download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Existing users are encouraged to transition to the new app before November 1 to maintain uninterrupted service access.
