Kuala Lumpur: The Resilient Asia 2025 Exposition and Forum, organized by the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and originally planned to be held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur from October 24 to 26, has been postponed. The new dates for the event are yet to be announced.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, NADMA director-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah stated that the postponement was prompted by the government's decision to implement traffic diversions in the federal capital in conjunction with the 47th ASEAN Summit, scheduled from October 23 to 28.
"NADMA hopes that all parties involved in organizing this programme can take the necessary action," Abdul Halim said in a statement. He emphasized the importance of the programme in strengthening collaboration networks and expanding innovation in the disaster management system at the regional level. NADMA plans to announce the new dates for the exposition and forum soon.
Earlier reports indicated that a total of six major highways and 25 major roads across the Klang Valley will be subject to gradual diversions due to the 47th ASEAN Summit 2025, which is set to occur from October 26 to 28.
