Kuala lumpur: The unsubsidised retail prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol across the nation have been determined, with RON97 priced at RM3.25 per litre and RON95 at RM2.65 per litre for the week of November 13 to 19.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced in a press release that these retail prices align with the rise in global oil prices. The ministry also noted that the retail price of the subsidised RON95 petrol under the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) scheme remains unchanged at RM1.99 per litre.

Furthermore, the MOF outlined that the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia is set at RM3.07 per litre. Meanwhile, in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan, diesel is priced at RM2.15 per litre for the same time frame.

The ministry stated that the price determination is based on the weekly price of petroleum products calculated via the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM). It assured that the government will continue to review and adjust the retail prices of RON97, RON95, and diesel in response to changes in the global oil market, prioritising price stability.

Moreover, the government is committed to monitoring the global crude oil price trend closely and will take necessary measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the population are protected continuously.
