Sabah and Sarawak Brace for Severe Weather Conditions

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has announced that Sabah and Sarawak will face thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 1:00 am tonight. The warning aims to prepare residents of these areas for potentially hazardous weather conditions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlights specific regions in Sarawak that are likely to be affected. These include Sibu, Sarikei, Sri Aman, Betong (Betong and Saratok), Serian, Kuching, Limbang, Miri, Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Samarahan, and Kapit (Song).

In Sabah, areas expected to experience severe weather include Sandakan (Kinabatangan, Tongod, Sandakan, Telupid, and Labuk and Sugut), Tawau (Lahad Datu), Interiors (Pensiangan, Sipitang, Tenom, Sook, Beaufort, Membakut, and Keningau), and the West Coast (Papar).

Residents in these regions are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of adverse weather.
