Sabah PH Meeting Concentrates On Three Key Matters

Kota kinabalu: The Pakatan Harapan (PH) meeting held in Kota Kinabalu yesterday focused on three main issues in preparation for the Sabah state election which is expected to be held soon. According to BERNAMA News Agency, PH secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail stated that all PH component parties agreed to establish a timeline for resolving the distribution of their respective seats. He emphasized the necessity of forming a strong and stable election machinery, highlighting that it must be initiated immediately as waiting until the State Legislative Assembly is dissolved would be too late. Saifuddin Nasution shared these remarks with reporters after officiating the launch of the MADANI Adopted Village Programme of the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Pangkalan Abai. He, who chaired the meeting, also mentioned that the discussions focused on the details of the PH manifesto and expressed satisfaction with the progress of the negotiations. He assured that he woul d personally visit Sabah to ensure the implementation of all decisions made during the PH meeting. Present at the meeting were notable figures including Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) communications director Khalid Abdul Samad, PH Sabah chairman Datuk Ewon Benedick, Sabah PKR State Leadership Council chairman Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, and Sabah Amanah chairman Datuk Lahirul Latigu. The Sabah State Assembly is set to be automatically dissolved on November 11, paving the way for the 17th Sabah state election.
