Terengganu: Terengganu Wanita UMNO has been urged to immediately begin its groundwork in preparation to recapture the state in the upcoming general election. Wanita UMNO chief, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, reminded party members not to dwell on UMNO's defeat in the 15th General Election (GE15), but instead to rise and focus on rebuilding public support for the party.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Noraini emphasized the need for the party to return stronger and work towards becoming the dominant party in the next election. She called on members to set aside differences and start working hard from now. Her remarks came during the officiation of the Hulu Terengganu UMNO division meeting involving the Wanita, Youth, and Puteri wings.

Also present at the meeting was UMNO Terengganu liaison committee chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat. Noraini, who also serves as Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, stressed the importance of all three wings working in harmony to ensure effective outreach to communities at every level.

She highlighted the need for Wanita UMNO to stay close to the people through face-to-face engagement, while encouraging the Youth and Puteri wings to continue their campaigns via social media. Her strategy underscores the importance of reaching grassroots communities to garner support for the party's goals in the upcoming election.
