Sabah State Election: GRS-PH Seat Allocation Finalised, Announcement on Nomination Day

Kota kinabalu: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) have finalised their seat allocation for the upcoming 17th Sabah State Election, confirmed GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor. However, the specifics of the distribution will be disclosed only on nomination day.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hajiji, who is also the Chief Minister, expressed confidence in regaining the people's mandate for the GRS-PH coalition, citing the administration's achievements over the past five years. Following a visit to Sekolah Agama Negeri (SAN) Pekan Tambunan, he highlighted the coalition's socio-economic programmes and successful high-impact investments aimed at stimulating economic growth in Sabah.

Hajiji mentioned that the Sabah government had invested over RM1.3 billion in human capital development. Additionally, monthly assistance of RM300 is being provided to hardcore poor families under the e-Kasih program. He also noted achievements in the oil and gas sector, asserting that the population would recognize the coalition's accomplishments despite opposition claims.

He anticipates a dynamic election, with numerous political parties planning to contest, and encouraged a celebration of democracy in the upcoming polls.
