Bersatu Expels Wan Saiful, Suspends Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Over Disciplinary Breaches

Kuala lumpur: Bersatu has taken decisive action by expelling Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saifulruddin Wan Jan and suspending Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal's membership for one term. The party's Disciplinary Board announced the measures, citing breaches of Clause 9.1.4 of the Bersatu Constitution and violations of the party's Code of Ethics and Conduct. According to BERNAMA News Agency, the board's decision extended beyond the two MPs, also resulting in the dismissal of four division chiefs: Mohd Azrudin Md Idris from Hang Tuah Jaya, Mohd Faizal Asmar from Pengerang, Mohd Fadhli Ismail from Ipoh Timur, and Mohd Isa Mohd Saidi from Ampang. The Disciplinary Board conducted a thorough investigation into the complaints and held a hearing session on October 8 to deliberate on the matter. The board emphasized that the decision was made following a rigorous investigation process, ensuring impartiality and independence from external influences. Those penalized for disciplinary breaches have been grant ed the right to appeal to the Appeals Board within a 14-day timeframe.
