Selangor: The Selangor State Education Department (JPN) today visited the female student who was injured in a stabbing incident at a secondary school in Banting, Kuala Langat.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a Facebook post, the Selangor JPN stated that the visit to Banting Hospital was led by its director, Wan Nor Ashikin Abu Kassim. The department reported that Wan Nor Ashikin visited the student, who is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, and also met the student's parents to express concern and offer words of encouragement and support.
JPN Selangor conveyed its prayers for the student's speedy recovery and affirmed its commitment to cooperating with the family, the hospital, and all relevant agencies. "May the student make a full recovery and may all matters be eased for them," the post said.
Meanwhile, the suspect involved in the alleged stabbing of the Form Three student has been remanded for four days, effective today. Yesterday, the Selangor JPN, in a statement, confirmed that the suspect, believed to have stabbed the student, had been detained by police.
The victim's father, when met yesterday, revealed that his 15-year-old daughter sustained a lung injury and suffered 16 stab wounds.
