Selangor: Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has conveyed his condolences to Meru assemblywoman Mariam Abdul Rashid over her husband's passing early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin expressed his sympathies via a Facebook post, offering prayers for the deceased, Abu Bakar Din. He wrote, 'Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun. I extend my condolences to Yang Berhormat Mariam Abdul Rashid, Meru assemblywoman, on the passing of her husband, Abu Bakar Din. May his soul be blessed, all his sins forgiven, and may he be placed among the believers. Allahumma firghlahu warhamhu wa'afihi wa'fuanhu.'

Earlier, Mariam Abdul Rashid had announced her husband's passing through her Facebook account. She mentioned that he passed away at 12.30 am today and that his remains were brought back to his residence in Kampung Merbau Sempak, Sungai Buloh, with funeral arrangements being carried out on the same day.
