Selangor Police Pursue Suspects in Kidnapping and Murder Case

Ampang:Selangor Police are actively searching for five suspects in connection with the murder of a 42-year-old man who was reportedly confined and tortured due to personal disputes. This incident occurred last month.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar stated that these suspects have a history of criminal and narcotics involvement and are linked to gangsterism. Fifteen other individuals have already been detained for their alleged roles in related crimes, including abduction, murder, and firearms offences.

The victim was abducted on September 24 in Ampang Waterfront by several individuals in a car, and a police report was filed by his wife following his disappearance. An operation led to a series of arrests, and on September 27, police discovered the victim's burial site near Semenyih. The victim, known to the suspects and also linked to gangsterism, was believed to have been tortured before being killed by sharp weapons, as determined by a post-mortem examination.

The 15 individuals, detained between September 24 and 27, include 12 local men, a local woman, and two foreign men, aged between 20 and 48. Some of them have prior criminal records. Police seized two rifles, a car, and a hoe believed to have been used in the burial.

On October 13, charges were brought against all 15 suspects. For the abduction, three were charged under Section 365 of the Penal Code, and for the murder, two were charged under Section 302. Additional charges were filed under the Penal Code and the Arms Act for firearms-related offences, and two foreign suspects were charged under the Immigration Act.

Police are confident that the five suspects still at large remain within the country and have pledged to release their details to aid in their capture. The public is urged to report any suspicious activities, especially those that pose security threats.
