Selangor Religious and Private Islamic Schools to Remain Open Despite Haze

Baku:Selangor All state religious schools under the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) will continue to operate as usual tomorrow until further notice.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, JAIS director Datuk Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad stated that this decision also includes private Islamic schools (SIP) in the state. However, parents or guardians concerned about their children's health have the option not to send them to school, provided they inform the school of their absence.

Schools are advised to minimize outdoor activities, and both teachers and students are encouraged to wear face masks as a precautionary measure. Students suffering from acute severe asthma should be closely monitored by the school.

The JAIS director also urged school administrators, parents, and guardians to stay updated with official announcements regarding air quality and related instructions on school operations, recommending against making assumptions about school closures.

Further updates on school operations will be communicated through JAIS' official channels as needed.
