Sabah: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has deployed 27 mobile generator sets (gensets) to key locations across the east coast of Sabah to immediately restore electricity supply.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the generators have been positioned in Beluran, Kinabatangan, Sandakan, Semporna, Tawau, Lahad Datu, and Telupid to provide temporary power. The distribution includes seven gensets each for Beluran and Kinabatangan, four for Sandakan, four for Semporna, one for Telupid, and two each for Tawau and Lahad Datu.
The gensets have been strategically placed at critical facilities such as hospitals, district police headquarters, water treatment plants, and fire stations to support essential services. SESB plans to install additional gensets to meet further supply needs as required.
SESB also expressed its appreciation for the patience and understanding shown by consumers throughout the restoration period.
